‘Hindi Diwas’ celebrated at DPS Dimapur

Delhi Public School (DPS) Dimapur celebrated “Hindi Diwas” on September 4, with Dr. Chandrasekhar Chaubey, regional director, Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Half Nagarjan, Dimapur as the chief guest. 

A press release from DPS Dimapur stated that, commemorating the importance of the day and to pay homage to a great departed soul, an inter school Hindi poem recitation competition on the poetry of Atal B Vajpayee was held. Altogether 24 students from 12 schools participated in the competition. The judges for the event were Khrutsulu Dozo, PGT Hindi, Government Higher Secondary School, Nagarjan,Dimapur, Waleniba Jamir, principal, Rashtra Bhasa Hindi Training Institute, Padampukhuri, Dimapur, and Anjana Sabha Pandit, lecturer, Rashtra Bhasa Hindi Training Institute, Padampukhuri, Dimapur. 

Principal of the host school, B.K Nanda welcomed the guests and the participants.

Paridhi Jain of Hollotoli School and Meghna Prabhu of Army Public School Rangpahar emerged as the joint winner of the poem recitation competition with Saloni Verma of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Dimapur and Naman Kr. Jain of DPS Dimapur securing the 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. All the proceedings of the programme and the various cultural presentations were conducted in Hindi, promoting its usage.
