‘Investiture ceremony’ held at Sainik School Punglwa

The “investiture ceremony” of Sainik School Punglwa for the academic session 2019-20 was held on April 10 at the school premises. 

The occasion was graced by Colonel Udai Bhanu, Commandant 41 Assam Rifles, Medziphema as chief guest. 

A press statement from the Saink School Punglwa authority stated that the chief guest in his address motivated the cadets by reminding them that being in an institution like Sainik School and to be put through training was a matter of pride and privilege. 

He therefore urged them to do their best and help the administration in taking the school to greater heights.  He also expressed confidence that cadets in the school will do extremely well in their fields.  

During the “investiture ceremony”, rank badges were conferred to newly appointed cadets who were selected for their past achievements and capabilities to don leadership roles in their respective houses and classes.

The programme began with the senior master, Kanu Barman welcoming the chief guest. 

The release stated the school and House appointees administered an oath and pledged to discharge their responsibilities honestly, sincerely and to the best of their abilities. The cadets also promised to display their dignity, integrity, discipline, leadership approach and a role model to all cadets.

Earlier, Gp Capt Sharad R Keskar, principal of the school presented a memento to the chief guest.
