Along with the rest of the country, Nagaland observed “Sadbhavana Diwas” where the pledge was administered to the officers and staff of the Nagaland Civil Secretariat by Home Commissioner, Abhijit Sinha, who was the chairman of the programme, on August 20.

According to DIPR, earlier, before administering the pledge to officers the Home Commissioner said that the nation remembers its former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary.

Sinha also said that people do have differences but with ‘Sadbhavana’ as ‘communal harmony’ the nation determines to resolve all differences and maintain oneness and harmony among the people regardless of caste, region, religion or language through dialogue and constitutional means without resorting to violence.
