‘Senior Citizen Home’ inaugurated at Rüsoma

Director of Social Welfare Department, Atoli K. Sema inaugurated “Senior Citizen Home” at Yakurü Rüsoma village in Kohima district on November 21. 

The home with five elderly persons was run by Suna Service Society of the village. In her brief address, the director lauded the society for opening a home for the elder persons of the society. She expressed hope that the society would continue to take up the charitable work.

The director was accompanied by District Welfare Officer, Sataho Chakhesang and CDPO Tribal Affairs, James. They also exhorted the gathering. Managing director of Suna Service Society, Rüsoma, Seyievilie, who chaired the programme informed that the home was open to all needed and downtrodden elders needing support. VC Rüsoma village, Siekuolie Mezhier extended greetings on the occasion.

The programme commenced with an invocation by senior pastor of Rüsoma Baptist Church, Kholie Chase while special number was presented by Thepfuneituo and Zapusatuo and administrator, Zeneizolie Zacharia tendered the vote of thanks and Catechist of St Stephen’s Church Rüsoma Neisiezolie Cyril offered benediction.
