‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ summer camp concludes at ICFAI

NSS Unit of The ICFAI University Nagaland week long summer camp for the NSS volunteers culminated on June 8. The campaign was organized with an intention to address various developmental issues of national importance instigated under the theme “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”.

A press release IUN NSS Unit programme officer, Dr. Imtinungsang Jamir stated that, the campaign was initiated by prof. C. P. Alexander, vice chancellor IUN, and supervised by Dr. Imtinungsang Jamir, programme officer at Sovima village and concluded in presence of Maj. Mohit Singh (Asst. Commandant) as guest of honour on June 8.
The volunteers planted various tree saplings surrounding the Sovima local ground and its adjacent areas and focused on keeping village clean by wiping the approach road to Sovima village from NH-29 and the neighbourhood. 25 volunteers attended the camp and also spread messages on eco-friendly products, plantation of sapling, saving water, getting rid of polythene bags etc.
