‘The Great Decade’ from Nagaland performs at Chennai NCF Night

 The Naga Christian Fellowship (NCF) Night in Chennai was celebrated on August 12 at the CSI St. Matthias Church open amphitheatre with the renowned music band from Nagaland “The Great Decade”. 

Deputy Commissioner of Police Greater Chennai City Police, Thirunavukkarasu was the chief guest of the event. The chief guest exhorted the gathering to focus on the goal and purpose of the reason in Chennai. He also extended full cooperation from the Chennai City Police to the Northeast people. He encouraged the Northeast people to take care of their precious life and make the right choices in life especially while staying in Chennai.

The band mesmerised the audience by performing 10 songs including two original songs of the band. The band was formed in 2016 and performed at the Hornbill International Rock Contest in 2017. In their recent Chennai tour. The Great Decade also performed at the Goddy’s Cafe on August 9. The band members are Temsuwapang on vocal, Anok on drums, Senti on lead guitar and Tongpang as bassist. 

The event was organised to have a fellowship of the entire Nagas in Chennai with music and food. It was attended by hundreds of people from different walks of life in Chennai.
