The 11-U Kukami Trophy (men’s football), 1-U Vizheto Chophi memorial trophy (men’s volleyball) and 11-U Lhosheli Neho memorial trophy (women’s volleyball) organised by Kuhuboto Ghakhu Sports Association (KGSA) will commence from October 29 at Lotovi village. 

Informing this KGSA president, Kakheto K Assumi said that for the first time, the association is also introducing indigenous games in order to promote and showcase the rich culture and identity of the Nagas and to make the younger generation to carry forward the rich culture of the forefathers. 

He said that the motive behind in organising the trophy was to provide platform to the youngsters to exhibit their talents. Through this event, the area has produced so many players in national and international levels, he said. 

Altogether 24 villages under Kuhuboto area will be participating in the trophy. 

For football (men) 12 teams have confirmed participation, 12 teams for men’s volleyball and 10 teams for women’s volleyball.  

The opening ceremony will be graced by advisor, Sericulture, Excise and Minority Affairs, Zhaleo Rio as special guest and the closing ceremony will be garced by Dimapur District GBs Association president, Khehovi Chophi. 

Dimapur District Football Association president, Mughato Sumi will also grace the event (volleyball) as special invitee. Head GB Vihokhu, Phukato Zhimomi and JE Er. Vinato PWD (R&B) will grace the semifinals as match patrons. 

Finals will be held on November 2.
