122 graduates from DBCK

Don Bosco College Kohima (DBCK) handed certificates to 122 students, who completed their graduation, at the programme held at the Don Bosco Higher Secondary School auditorium, here on Friday. 

The graduation programme was graced by vice provincial Salesian province, Dimapur, Fr. Lakra Nazarius as special invitee.

22 students graduated in general, 11 in education department, 32 in English, 15 in history, 25 in political science and 17 in sociology. Deborah Wotsa and Watisangla Ao, who topped in sociology and political science respectively in the state level and seven rank holders in different subjects, were felicitated.   

Fr. Nazarius in his address, urged the students to remain firm on their aims and objectives to achieve their goals. 

He also advised the students to work hard and not to indulge in bad habits as it will destroy their lives. 

He further asked the young students to identify themselves to know their strength and weakness. 

He also congratulated the graduating students and wished them a bright and successful career.  

DBCK principal Fr. Dr. P. Suresh in his graduation report said the graduation was the most significant and meaningful occasion for Bostonians as well as in the college calendar.

“You are our pioneer students and I am personally overjoyed to see you through your university academic journey,” he said.  

He expressed confidence that the students would excel in their chosen path and also urged them to be the ambassadors of DBCK and make the college proud in whatever they do. 

Earlier, the programme chaired by Vilaneinuo Agnes Tsiekha and Thungashan Ngullie began with an invocation by vice principal DBHSS Fr. L. Innocent Panmei. 

Highlights of the programme included, welcome speech delivered by principal DBHSS Fr. T.P. James, special song was presented by Mhasivinuo and Neiphrenuo (2019 graduates), presentation of DBCK graduation awards by special invitee, valediction speech by Watisangla Ao, special song on “ lean on me” presented by Bosco music club and vote thanks by asst. Professor DBCK Shurhonuo Tsurho.
