One hundred thirty three educated unemployed youth, which includes 37 girls, will soon be joining a three month Hospitality and Tourism Management course in Guwahati.

They were selected after submitting their completed application following an interview session for students of Nagaland organized by Dimapur Battalion of Assam Rifles, under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North), on February 7.

Assam Rifles in a press release stated that the candidates would be given a basic three months course, which will include hostel facilities, at Pragati Edutech in Guwahati.

The interview was a result of HQ IGAR (North) working with Pragati Edutech to provide an employment opportunity for youth under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikash Yojana Skill Development Program. The initiative saw a tremendous response with over-whelming turnout of students from across the state, particularly from of Dimapur, Zunheboto and Tuensang. A five member team led by Pragati Edutech director, Sanjit Raaj Choudhury conducted the program. 225 educated youth, of which 60 were girls, came for the interview.
