1st state-level SSW conference held at BCTE Dimapur

First state level conference of Salesians in the Secular World (SSW) Nagaland was held on October 5 at Bosco College of Teacher Education, Dimapur. 

A press release by SSW stated that the main purpose of the conference was to give clarity on the concept of SSW, the structure of SSW Nagaland and as well as on the nomenclature. In a keynote address, SDB, provincial council member and in-charge of Salesian cooperators, Dimapur province, Rev. Fr. C. D. Mathai, gave a description of the history and spirit of Don Bosco, father and founder of Salesian congregation. 

Regional coordinator, SSW North East Region, Joe Ngamkhuchung, secretary, SSW Nagaland, P.A. Thomas and treasurer, SSW Nagaland, David, gave a presentation on the concept of SSW, report on evolution of SSW Nagaland and status and financial report and its status respectively.

The event participated by ten SSW members and three Salesians was chaired by SSW Nagaland president, Mark Lanthou.

Launched on December 3,1990. Nagaland Post is the first and highest circulated newspaper of Nagaland state. Nagaland Post is also the first newspaper in Nagaland to be published in multi-colour.
