2 COVID related deaths, 25 more cases in M’laya

Two more COVID-19 related deaths in the Shillong Civil Hospital, that of male patients aged 59 and 49 years, who had also been suffering from other ailments, took the fatality figure due to the viral infection up to 141 and 25 new cases of infection added up to 149 active cases in Meghalaya on Tuesday.

Director of Health Services (MI), Dr. Aman War informed the new COVID-19 cases detected today included 24 in East Khasi Hills district and one in the South Garo Hills district.

 With 116 active COVID-19 cases and 114 deaths due to the viral disease, East Khasi Hills, which includes Shillong is the most affected district in the State.

Meanwhile, five recoveries from Covid-19 infection, recorded in East Khasi Hills district l, six recoveries in West Garo Hills district and one recovery in Ri-Bhoi district, took up the number of persons who have recovered from the disease to 13,216 on Tuesday.
