In an unfortunate incident, a bus ferrying Kohima college students turned turtle while on their way to attend the 73rd Naga Independence Day celebration at Naga Solidarity Park, Kohima. The incident occurred at Billy Graham road, near Kohima College Wednesday morning.

NSF vice president, Dievi Yano who rushed to the spot with other members informed Nagaland Post that 20 injured students were rushed to Naga Hospital, Kohima and KOHIMAS. Among them, one was stated to be in serious condition, but out of danger, Yano said. Those with minor injuries were administered first aid and discharged. The cause of the accident was yet to be ascertained till the filing of this report.

Meanwhile, NSF expressed pain over the unfortunate incident and informed that the federation will bear all medical expenses of the injured. NSF further thanked the students for their sacrifice and wished them speedy recovery.
