Day two of the Angami Catholic Women Association (ACWA) 22nd convention was held at the campus of St. Paul Church in Phesama, Kohima on January 18.

A press release from ACWA stated that, V. Lucas Meyase who spoke on the theme, “Role of Christian women in today’s world”, during the second session urged the women to rededicate their Catholic faith in their family, church and the society. He emphasised on inner beauty than the outer look and said faith needed to be deeply rooted in the heart.
Meyase asked women to be responsive in giving the priority to their spouses and children and urged them to evangelize and teach catechism to their families as their biggest mission.
He called on the faithful to be the messengers of the Gospel and lead by example in the society.  Meyase urged for more retreats for the menfolk to uplift and encourage them and bring them closer to the church. He further cautioned about the dangerous forces which may shake the faith of the Christians and asked the faithful to continue to stand firm on their ground and their faith as Christians.
Earlier, in the morning, eucharist was celebrated by Rev. Arul Susai, parish priest of St. Paul parish Phesama. In the first session Rev. Sr. Medokuonuo Margaret Sekhose was the speaker.
Later, Rev. Fr. Keduoneilie Alex Vizo conducted the adoration and healing service.
Meanwhile, ACWA new team of office bearers led by its president Kikrusanuo Clara were elected on the day by representatives of various churches for the term 2020-2022. The recording desk registered about 1000 faithful on the second day.
