2nd Open Air Rifle & Arm Wrestling Competition to held in Mokokchung

The 2nd Open Air Rifle & Arm Wrestling Competition 2019 will be held on December 19 and 20 at Assam Rifle Ground Mokokchung. Organized by Crayon Club, Kumlong ward Mokokchung, the second edition of the competition will see some additions to the events in air rifle competition. 

A press release by Moasashi Jamir stated that members of Crayon Club while addressing a press conference here at Black & White Restaurant on Wednesday disclosed that with the focus on preservation of wildlife and animals, the air rifle competition will be held in 2 categories. 

The members observed that people these days have expensive airguns in their homes and with such competitions, they expect opportunities will be given to them to  display their skills and talents. The members also hoped to promote shooting where there is abundant talent even to take them to international levels. 

Announcing that the two categories for air rifle shooting is open for women participants also, a new addition to the air rifle competition this year would be: PCB Air Rifle with scope (25 yards to 100 yards) with a prize money of 15,000 and 8000 for winner and runner-up respectively, while the second category will be Air Rifle with iron sight Nitro/Spring (15 yards). The prize for this will be 8000 and 4000 for winner and runner up respectively. 

Meanwhile,  for Arm Wrestling competition (right arm only), the categories will be as follows: 55 kg to 65 kg, 66 kg to 75 kg and 76 kg and above. The prizes for the competition will be 5000 and 2000 for winner and runner up respectively for each category.
