Even as the inter-state borders remained sealed in view of the current COVID-19 pandemic, the Dimapur district administration has granted relaxation at four entry points along Nagaland-Assam border with effect from June 24, 2020. The four locations include Bor Lengri Imli Ghas Junction; LRC Bridge connecting Balijan; Notun Basti bridge connecting Tea Garden and Aoyimsen.

In an order, DC Dimapur Anoop Khinchi stated relaxation has been granted for allowing movement of the people settled in the border areas of Dimapur for essential needs/availing medical facilities and the students to pursue their education. DC stated that a register would be maintained at the gate for registering anyone passing through the interstate boundary. DC also said that thermal screening would be done, adding that use of masks and hand sanitizer were mandatory.
