5th Generation Honda City launched in Dimapur
The All-New 5th Generation Honda City was launched on July 15.

The All-New 5th Generation Honda City was officially launched at the authorised Honda dealership (Ayida Honda), Dimapur on July 15. The 5th Generation Honda City is powered by Honda’s superior Earth Dreams Technology range of BS-6 compliant powertrains. It has the newly introduced 1.5-litre i-VTEC DOHC with VTC (Variable Valve Timing Control) for petrol engine. 

Replacing the previous 1.5-litre SOHC i-VTEC petrol engine, the All-New Honda City delivers high fuel efficiency, low emissions and better performance. The 5th Generation Honda City’s diesel variant is also equipped with the refined 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine to deliver the best balance of powerful performance and high fuel economy. 

In the All-New 5th Generation Honda City, the overall length and width have been expanded to make it the longest and widest sedan in its segment. 

When it comes to safety, the All-New 5th Generation Honda City has achieved a 5-star safety rating at the ASEAN NCAP crash tests. It also has the world’s first i-SRS Airbag System with Quick Deployment Technology, as well as the 1st in segment LanewatchTM camera system which supplements side mirror and uses a screen inside the vehicle for the driver to keep aware of the surroundings without taking their eyes off the road.

The exteriors have been smartly styled with dignified stature and superior technological prowess. There is a new front grille with full LED headlamps that have nine LED inline shells and integrated LED DRLs. 

The interiors are based on Honda’s ‘Man Maximum, Machine Minimum’ philosophy, achieving clear vision while driving, along with a balance of openness and secure feeling. The cabin is loaded with some premium features like 8-inches infotainment system (with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Weblink compatibility), multi-function steering wheel, engine one-push start/stop, rear sunshade, ambient lighting, LED interior lamps and electric sunroof.

The All-New 5th Generation Honda City petrol engine-equipped variant starts at a price of 10.90 lakh and the diesel engine-equipped variants starts at a price of Rs 12.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Dimapur).
