5th Odyutsu Ekhung conference at Bhandari

Odyutsu Ekhung (OE) held its 5th conference at GHSS compound, Bhandari town, with hundreds of Odyuo clan members on December 17. 

A press release by OE publicity and information secretary, Thunglamo Odyuo stated that,  Wochamo Odyuo, addl. commissioner of Taxes, Nagaland and Rev. Dr. Nzan Odyuo, director, Golden Crown Theological College, Dimapur exhorted the gathering during the programme.
Wochamo encouraged the members present to work for self-reliance through dedication and innovation, as government job alone will not make one self sufficient. He further shared his experiences on how he made up his mind and decided to study with determination which enabled him to rise higher. 
In this line, he reminded everyone to support their children and to let them choose their career for future prospect. 
He further called all Odyuo brothers to come closer and unite in making the clan to achieve bigger goal. Rev. Dr. Nzan Odyuo, in his message to the gathering, asked them to seek first the kingdom of God, so that He will provide everything. 
He thanked the Ekhung for providing him a platform to express his thoughts to the clan members on God’s love upon him. He also related on how the Odyuo forefathers in times immemorial visited each other from upper to lower ranges and lower to upper ranges (vice-versa) with lineage bond, love and affection. In this way, they reaped a closer relationship and harvested blessings, whereby he informed that one should not forget the action of forefathers.
Other highlights of the programme included folk song by Khongthungia Odyuo and Longshithung Odyuo group and modern song presented by Chandeno S Odyuo.
Earlier, Rev. C. Ellis Odyuo, pastor Merapani Baptist Church said the invocation, welcome address by Er. RW Odyuo, chairman, Odyuo Ekhung and greetings by B. Elan Odyuo, chairman, Odyuo Ekhung Bhandari.    
Search committee Dr. Rilathung Odyuo, convenor and Chonbenthung Odyuo, secretary declared the newly selected/elected office bearers for the tenure (2020–2022). The new team was led by K. Mhonthung Odyuo as chairman, Renjamo Odyuo as general secretary along with 12 others.
