6-day skill training for rural youth on IDSRR held at Jalukie

Six-day Skill Training for Rural Youth (STRY) program on Integrated Development of Small Ruminants and Rabbits (IDSRR) was organised by Agriculture Technology and Management Agency (ATMA) Peren on October 4-9 at sub-division fishery office, Jalukie town.

ATMA Peren informed that the training was inaugurated by SDFO and project director ATMA, Ruokuo Noho while DPD, ATMA, Kumui Nring highlighted training details.

Resource person assistant professor, college of veterinary science and animal husbandry Jalukie, Dr. Imtiwati Pongener deliberated topics including schemes for IDSRR, funding agencies especially for entrepreneurs under IDSRR, objectives, etc. 

Rearing of sheep, goat and rabbits for commercial purposes, market linkage etc., were taken up by the resource person.

The training was organised in association with State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute Nagaland and MANAGE, Hyderabad to impart skill-based training to rural youth to create skilled manpower for employment in rural areas.
