71st Republic Day observed across the state

The 71st Republic Day was observed in Nagaland along with the rest of the nation on January 26. 

Mangkolemba: Republic Day was celebrated at public ground Mangkolemba with advisor Tourism, Art & Culture, Khehovi Yepthomi as the special guest. Other highlights of the celebration included presentation of cultural song and dance by Japutsur Telongjen and Moayimti cultural society and classical tabla by Dr. Kritanand Pandey JNV Longnak. 
Aghunato: Extra assistant commissioner (EAC) VitokaYeptho was the special guest at the function held at ADC office complex. Parade team of ‘C’ Company 8th NAP Aghunato was led by Mughato Havildar.
Naginimora: At Naginimora the occasion was held at the ADC office compound, with Renabomo Odyuo ADC Naginimora as the special guest. 6 NAP ‘A’ Company led the parade. 
Pughoboto: Programme was held at the ADC office, compound, Pughoboto with ADC Pughoboto, T. Moa Lemtor. DEF Pughoboto jawans led the parade. Government officials from all the departments including, GBs, DBs, 11 IR D’coy stationed in Pughoboto attended.
Pfutsero: Pfutsero celebrated at Pfutsero Town Sports Complex, with ADC Pfutsero Phuleshe K Yepthomi. Altogether there were seven parade contingents including DEF Pfutsero, NCC Nazareth School Pfutsero, NCC GHSS Pfutsero, JNV, PGC, CMHSS and TMT.
Longkhim: Longkhim town observed at ADC office Longkhim, with Kikumsangla Jamir ADC Longkhim as the special guest.
Jalukie: The occasion was celebrated at GHSS ground with Dr. Tinojongshi Chang ADC Jalukie town as special guest.
Tening: Tening celebrated with ADC Tening, Rhosietho Nguori as special guest. Police personnel, para-military forces, government officials and public attended. 
Tuli: Programme was held at Tuli ADC’s office complex, with ADC Tuli, Imsongmeren as special guest. All government official under Tuli sub-division attended the programme.
Aboi: Occasion was celebrated at Aboi local ground with Ajit Kumar Ranjan as special guest. Prize distribution was held for the painting competition under “Beti Bachao Bedi Padhao “. All the heads of offices, DBs, GBs and general public attended the function.
Thonoknyu: Celebration was held at Thonoknyu Hq, with C.Phuniang SDO Civil Thonoknyu taking the salute from DEF Thonoknyu. 
Wakching: Wakching sub- division under Mon district observed at SDO (Civil) chamber. Relise Sangtam, SDO (Civil) took salute from village guards, GHS Wakching and St. John school. The programme was attended by all the GBs, DBs, government employees and public of Wakching.
Atoizu: At Atoizu ADC Hq programme was held at Atoizu public ground with ADC Atoizu Arikumba as special guest.
Monyakshu: Celebration was held at Monyakshu  and national flag was hoisted by Longdiba L Sangtam SDO Monyakshu.
Chiephobozou: Chiephobozou headquarter celebrated at ADC office premises, with ADC Chiephobozou, Vekhoyi Chakhesang as special guest.  Programme included cultural presentation by Chiephobozou Town Women Group. 
Chozuba: At Chozuba town, Theodore Yanthan, ADC Chozuba was special guest. All the government officials, staffs and public leaders under Chozuba sub-division attended the function.
Chen: Chen Hq celebrated at Mini SDO (Civil) Complex at Chen town, with SDO (Civil) Chen Samuel Konyak as special guest. Government officers, GBs, DBs, and public from Chen area attended the celebration.
Jakhama: Celebration was held at sub-division officer (C) office at Jakhama, with SDO (C) Jakhama, Alemyapang Longchar as special guest along with officials and staffs of SDO (C) office.
Tobu: At Tobu, the special guest was Mudongoi Chuzho, ADC Tobu. Twelve contingents participated.
Seyochung: Celebration was held at ADC Hq office complex Seyochung, with ADC, Japheth as special guest. VG Seyochung Hq led by Nikihe Chishti area VG commander led the parade. Programme was attended by all government officials, GBs, DBs, NGOs and public. 
NBS: Nagaland Bihari Samaj (NBS) celebrated the day by visiting Child Orphanage Home, Diphupar, Dimapur.
TCCI: Tuensang Chamber of Commerce and Industries (TCCI) visited Kohdi Orphanage Home January 26.  
BoB: Bank of Baroda, Dimapur donated RO water purifier to Assissi Higher Secondary School on the occasion and also planted saplings.
RCK: Royal Club Kohima (RCK) visited Kohima Old Age Home on the occasion. 
Kiphire Battalion: Kiphire Battalion celebrated at Kiphire, Mimi, Longmatre, Pungro, Thongsanyu and Akhegwo. Weapons display and “know your army” campaign at Pungro was also organised. 
Shamator Battalion: Various activities like pipe and jazz band display, weapon display and cultural programme were organised at local ground Shamator. 
Zunheboto Battalion: The battalion conducted a weapon display at ADC compound, Longkhim and interaction with ex- servicemen at Zunheboto.
Mokokchung Battalion: Mokokchung Battalion organised weapon and band display for school children and civil populace at Mokokchung public ground. 
Phek Battalion: Weapons were displayed at Phek, Jessami and Meluri town for the local populace. 
Jalukie Battalion: Battalion organised a weapon display for school children at Tening and DC office complex Peren.  68 children of varying age groups attended the event.
