Fender Guitar contest held

As part of the Hornbill festival , the Fender Guitar playing contest took place  at Life Pro Café, Solo Complex opposite IOC Petrol Pump, Mohonkhola, NH 29 with Mhaseve Tetseo winning the first prize, while the second and third place were bagged by Licen Kichu and Imli  Soyah respectively.

They were awarded a Guitar each (1st prize- Fender Squire Ehsan Noorani start, 2nd prize- Fender Squire Affinity Start and 3rd prize –Fender Squire FA 100)- which was sponsored by Fender guitars.

The chief event partner was Nagaland Bamboo Mission. During the competition the bamboo guitar was also put up on display. Out of 20 registered participants ten turned for the contest.

 The contest was organized in collaboration with Tourism, Nagaland, Rattle and Hum Music Society and On Stage and various other partners.

Veteran film, stage and television actress Reema Lagoo died following a cardiac arrest early on Thursday morning.
The 59-year-old artiste breathed her last at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri west, where she was rushed shortly after midnight. Divorced from her former husband, she is survived by her daughter, Mrunmayee Lagoo.
Starting her career as a schoolgirl in Pune, Reema soon graduated to larger roles on Marathi stage and films.
Later, Reema became famous for portraying the “middle-aged, modern, but understanding mother” on both, the silver and the small screens, to some of the biggest stars in the industry.
Reema was noted for her roles in several blockbusters like “Hum Aapke Hain Kaun”, “Aashiqui”, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, “Hum Saath Saath Hain”, “Maine Pyar Kiya”, “Kal Ho Na Ho”, “Vastaav”, “Saajan”, “Rangeela” and “Kya Kehna”, etc.
On television, she was seen in prominent roles in “Khandaan”, “Shrimaan Shrimati”, “Tu Tu, Main Main,” “Do Aur Do Paanch”, and o
