Nine bands to vie for HIRC 2017 trophy

Nine bands will vie for top honors at the grand finale of this year’s HIRC 2017, competing for a total cash prize of 18.5 lakhs in addition to music gears and gift hampers for winners in the individual category. This  cash prizes of ` 10 lakh and ` 5 lakh for the winners for the first two winners for this year’s HIRC is sponsored by the Government of Nagaland while the 2nd runner’s up prize of ` 3.5 lakh is being sponsored by Mahindra. 
The grand finale of the Hornbill International Rock contest 2017 will be hosted by Moanungsang , with last year’s HIRC winner band making a special appearance. 
The list of bands competing at the Grand Finale of the HIRC 2017 are Avora Records (Aizawl), The Prophets (Aizawl), Highway 69 (Ranchi), Fluff paradox (New Delhi), Mount Groove (Darjeeling), Radio city(Kohima) , Yellow Beacon (Dimapur), Doodles (Kalimpong) and Perfect Stick Figure
