But in fact, fresh-faced Jennifer Lopez was marking the beginning of celebrations for her 43rd birthday.
The former American Idol judge, whose place on the panel has now been filled by Mariah Carey, slipped into a pair of skintight leather trousers as she enjoyed a romantic dinner with her toyboy beau Casper Smart to mark her big day.

Jennifer teamed her figure-hugging pants with a loose-fitting cream jumper and black and metallic heels.
The mother-of-two finished her outfit off with a studded cream clutch bag and hoop earrings, and wore her hair pulled tightly back into a high bun.

Meanwhile, Jennifer’s toyboy partner Casper, 25, dressed up for the occasion and looked smart in his charcoal grey suit with a pristine black T-shirt underneath.

The pair decided to begin celebrations for Jennifer’s birthday over dinner at celebrity favourite restaurant Cipriani’s in New York.

Jennifer looked in good spirits despite reports that she was annoyed over the difference in pay that new Idol judge Mariah Carey will be receiving for just one year on the programme.

According to reports, Mariah is set to receive $18million to sign on to the panel for the show - a staggering $6million more than Jennifer earned on the show.

However, a source close to Jennifer denied that it was a dispute in pay which caused the singer to quit the show.
Explaining her departure recently, Jennifer said: ‘I could do Idol for the rest of my life. But that would be giving up a bunch of other things ... I have my movies and my music and my this and my that.

‘It all kind of worked together for a while, but then it gets more complicated. I didn’t know I’d be moved so emotionally by working on the show and working with the contestants.’
