Usher’s former wife Tameka Foster has slammed the R and B star for only pretending to care about the death of her 11-year-old son, Kile Glover. Glover, the son of Foster and Bounce TV president Ryan Glover, died on July 21 after being taken off of life support two weeks after he was struck in the head by a jet ski.
“[USHER] visited Kile in the hospital only once,” Foster claimed in recently filed court documents, according to TMZ.com
Foster also alleged that the singer refused to tweet a message asking his Twitter followers to pray for Glover.
She said he tweeted a picture of his breakfast, with the caption “Breakfast of Champions” instead. Usher and Foster were in the midst of a heated custody battle when the accident occurred - a case that Foster reportedly wants settled so that she can “move forward with her life.”
Usher, however, asked the court to push back the next court hearing in light of Glover’s death, claiming that the hearing would result in “unneccessary stress and strain” for the family “in the immediate wake of this tragedy.”
The singer is reportedly worried that the hearing will be unfair because the judge will not rule against a mother who is mourning the death of her child.
Foster, on the other hand, is demanding that the court order Usher to show up at the next scheduled hearing on August 13, arguing that the singer’s request is just “a transparent sham,” the New York Daily News reported. But her claims are inconsistent with earlier reports that Usher was incredibly supportive in the days after the accident.
He even allegedly chartered a plane to fly Foster to the hospital to be by her son’s side.
“Tameka and Usher don’t get along, but in this circumstance Usher is coming to her side,” a source told Us Weekly at the time.
“Usher practically raised Kyle as his own. He’s known him for seven years. It is so sad what happened,” the source said
Usher Raymond is locked in a legal battle with Foster over custody of their two children after their 2-year marriage.
