The agitating six student bodies in Manipur Wednesday banned selling of all products of Karnataka in Manipur as they vowed to intensify their ongoing protest, seeking justice into the recent controversial death of Manipuri students’ Richard Loitam in Bangalore and Okram Laba in Chennai last year.
Announcing the ban on products of Karnataka in the state, leaders of six student bodies, AMSU, DESAM, MSF, KSA, SUK and SWAK, at a press conference here, asserted the ban will continue till their demands were fulfilled.
They further announced banning of advertisement in media for the goods manufacture and produce in Karnataka. The six student bodies have been jointly launching a series of agitations demanding justice into the controversial death of Richard Liotam in his hostel room at Bangalore on April 18 last and death of Okram Laaba inside his hostel room at Chennai last year.
They intensified their agitations after the post mortem report on the cause of death of Richard had ruled out murder and culpable homicide as they strongly denied the pathology report.
