Armed police deployed at media houses following threat

Media houses in Manipur were put on high vigil Tuesday with deployment of armed police personnel following threat by the armed factions for refusing to publish their statements.
Manipur police has already ordered all the police stations across the state, particularly in Imphal East and West to have a close watch on the movement of anti-social elements nearby the media houses located their respective jurisdictions after conflicts between media and militants factions surfaced last weekend.
However, it was intensified today after some of the media houses received telephone calls threatening to attack with bombs.
The callers even threatened that they have planted bombs in the office premises of some media houses.However, it was turned out to be fake. Journalists condemn the threat of militants
