Joint Action Committee (JAC) formed in connection with disappearance of Irungbam Irabanta Meitei Tuesday alleged that the man who went missing with the contractor is in police custody after he was arrested few days.

Addressing a press conference at Manipur Press Club, Imphal in the afternoon, wife of missing contractor I Modhubala Devi, who is also convener of the JAC claimed that Winner Tangkhul who went out together with her missing husband was arrested by the police on August 10 last.

“Winner Tangkhul is now in the police custody after he was arrested on August 10. My husband left home together with Winner after he assured of fixing a meeting with NSCN (I-M) leaders in Ukhrul district and holds talks about his contract work,” Modhubala told the reporters.
