Police driver shot dead in Diphu

|
Constable and driver Lal Nunia Zilnung of Hamren police station was shot dead Monday by one M. Bipul who was in charge of police arms and ammunition of the same police station inside a police barrack.
The incident occurred around 3.30 p.m. when Bipul rushed inside the barrack with a loaded hand gun and shot Lal Nunia Zilnung in the abdomen from a blank range.
Bipul was overpowered by other policemen on duty immediately and was taken into custody. Injured Lal Nunia Zilnung was rushed to Hamren civil hospital in serious condition but he succumbed to his injury around 3.40 p.m.
