Condemning the “cold blooded” murder of Chunthuigai Kamei by NSCN (K), the Zeliangrong Citizens Forum (ZCF) has demanded immediate action against and handing over the erring cadres to the Zeliangrong people.

Zeliangrong Citizens Forum convener, Rangro Herie; co-conevners, Ageng Newmai and Lumpiulung Kamson in a press statement stated that the blame would fall on the NSCN (K) if its central leadership fail to meet the demand of the Zeliangrong people and continued to shield the culprits.

The forum also stated that failing to meet their demands the people of Zeliangrong would be left with no option but has to enforce non-cooperation against the NSCN (K).

Zeliangrong Citizens Forum said that the “heinous crime” committed by an organization claiming to be working for the cause of the people was unthinkable and was not in consonance to the cause for which it was established.

“The press statement of NSCN (K) giving lame excuse that the killing of Mr. Chunthuigai was by mistake is not at all convincing and the perpetrators of the crime should be brought to justice at the earliest”, Zeliangrong Citizens Forum stated.

Meanwhile, Zeliangrong Citizens Forum has appealed to AZSU and ZSUM to build a befitting Memorial Park in suitable site in Zeliangrong land in memory of the departed leader who sacrificed his life during the tenure of his office.
