Naga Peoples Front (NPF) (Manipur Unit) has condemned the attempt to murder of T. Robert Maram, president Youth Wing NPF (Manipur) by the manager of Ching-Tam Hotel North AOC Imphal on September 13 at Imphal.

Naga Peoples Front vice president Manipur,Solomon Veinuo in a press statement said that the sequence and intention of the incident has exposed the “un-ethical characteristic of certain community” and the ruling Government in this modern world.

He claimed that without any provocation president Naga Peoples Front Youth Wing was attempted to murder along with “Manipur police Commandos in civvies brandishing with AK 47 and pistol in full view of Manipur police headed by a lady sub-inspector”.

“The tacit understanding of the manager Ching-Tam Hotel along with state police commandos attempted to murder a Political party leader itself exposed the present Government of Manipur,s policy of drawing towards communal lines”, the statement said.

The statement also stated that failure on the part of the government of Manipur fail to arrest those responsible people and booked according to law, the Naga Peoples Front would apprise to the people for large scale protest for justice.
