Ultras procuring pen pistol

Use of sophisticated arms for close range assault by ultra hit man has astounded police force of Diphu. Whole mode of manoeuvre with pen pistol for extraordinary target came to light after the arrest of one Anil Signer from village Rongmandu located in Upper Dilagi general area near Diphu town during noon hour today.

A team of police led by Naba Kumar Bora officer in charge of Diphu police station recovered one pen pistol of .22 calibres along with eight rounds of bullets from the arrested ultra.

“This weapon can be concealed with no trouble; the assailant can shoot from point-blank range without drawing attention in crowded place its quite lethal from close range; most probably the weapon has been manufactured in China or Thailand” Naba Kumar Bora said.

Arrested Anil Signer has admit before police that one Hindi speaking dealer soled the arms to him against seven thousand rupees few days back, he has also divulged that the weapon was procured for handing over to ultra outfit KPLT (Karbi people’s liberation tiger) for assassinating certain VIP. Police was still interrogation till filing of this report.

In a separate operation the same police team arrested one Subash Das from Manja township around 16 kilometres from Diphu on the charge of delivering SIM cars to KPLT outfit.

Police has recovered 9 activated SIM from him. According to police Das also managed a bogus chit fund from his Manja residence, his average monthly income from the chit fund was around two lakhs rupees.
