NPO new team takes over

A new team of Naga People’s Organization (NPO) executive council for the tenure 2018-2020 took over the office after a formal programme of oath taking and handing programme held on December 30 at new NPO conference hall Senapati district headquarter. 
NPO, the apex Naga union of Senapati district consisting of five Naga tribes- Mao, Poumai, Maram, Thangal and Zelianrong, will be led led by Solomon Arow as president, Parang Chawang  as general secretary,  T. Ngaoning as treasurer, R.K. Philip as social and culture secretary, Ng. Sounii Khapa as information and publicity secretary, M. Ariji John as law secretary, Adani David Choro as vice president and Marahang Ngiimai as finance secretary.  
Outgoing NPO president Moses Kamba in his address thanked, tribe hohos, frontal bodies, churches, election commission and other stakeholders for all support and cooperation. 
He also congratulated the new team and expected more public oriented developments from them.
Newly elected President Solomon Arow in his acceptance speech assured his best to fight for the rights of the people which has become a challenging issue and to work in unity. The new NPO team was blessed by Zeliangrong church pastor Rev. Thuimai.  The programme was attended by various tribe leaders including Senapati District Women Association leaders, former Presidents, village leaders, church leaders, NPO election commission members and others.
