Inter-dist badminton c’ship

Minister for soil and water conservation, land resources development, P. Longon Tuesday termed sports and games as an integral part of human life, which enabled individual to take up the challenges. He was speaking as the chief guest at the 34th Nagaland inter-district and open badminton championship at indoor badminton stadium, Tuensang.
Longon went on say that it was through sports and games good friendship develop in the society. He lauded the sincere effort made by the Nagaland Badminton Association for conducting Talent Search and Catch them Young in the state regularly.
He opined that the association would continue to uphold their moral responsibility towards the youngster in the days to come. Longon further, lauded the Tuensang District Sports Council and Tuensang District Badminton Association for hosting the state tournament.  He also congratulated the participants representing from various district at the tournament. 
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Y.L. Jami IAS, deputy commissioner Tuensang and president Tuensang District Sports Council.  Organized by Nagaland Badminton Association, 216 players from eight district; Longleng-26, Tuensang-44, Dimapur-25, Kiphire-16, Mokokchung-21, Phek-21, Kohima-14, Mon-38 and Nagaland Police-11 are taking part at the tournament. The tournament will conclude July 22.

good to see NBA(Nagaland Badminton Association) hunting for talents but sad to see talents not excelling to higher levels.NBA is doing good but they should do better to raise this talents.@NP-You covered this page well.
