Ukhrul District Badminton Association (UDBA) has installed a badminton court with state-of-the-art carpet in the auditorium of Mini Secretariat at Ukhrul on Tuesday.

Deputy Commissioner R Sudhan inaugurated the badminton court with state-of-the-art carpet in the auditorium of Mini Secretariat in a function held on Tuesday afternoon.

UDBA secretary Tennoson Pheiray informed that the badminton court with state-of-the-art carpet is perhaps the first of its kind in the state. The carpet is installed at the cost of three lakhs and brought from Bonny Sports Company from Jaipur.

An exhibition match between the district officials was held with members of the UDSA and invitees sitting throughout as keen spectators.

UDBA expressed thanks to the Ukhrul DC and DRDA Executive Director for their financial assistance towards the installation of the carpet.
