The 1st Winter Badminton Championship 2012 organized by Micro Network Society Kiphire on the theme “talents exhibition” got underway Friday with ADC DMA Kiphire, T.Kirithong Sangtam declaring the tournament open at Government High School Compound Kiphire.

Kirithong appreciated the Micro Network Society Kiphire for organizing the championship and said that the society has chosen the right games for the youth in the district.

He encouraged the Micro Network Society Kiphire to take up the tournament as an annual event.

Earlier, the program was chaired by Aketo V. Sangtam programme co-ordinator while key note address was delivered by Dangseba Sangtam president MNS.

Tsurela Y presented a special song.

The oath taking was administrated by the general secretary MNS Kiphire.

It may be mentioned that Micro Network Society was established in the year 2007 and registered at the Home department in 2011.

The main objective of the society was to promote sports in the district and to uplift the educated unemployed youth in the district in way of organizing seminar.
