Saturday’s matches
Sangpang FC Vs FC Naga Tornadoes
Venue: Mokokchung (11 am)

Sangpang FC climbed up two spots last week after beating New Market FC in their backyard. FC Naga Tornadoes registered a convincing win to continue their unbeaten run in this season and leads the title race with 34 points from 14 games.

Sangpang are placed sixth on the table with 16 points and playing home against the league leaders, The Fourth Element has a big game and would vie to grab maximum points and stall The Red Alerts. Naga Tornadoes are two points clear of their nearest rivals and will look to ensure the gap with a win this weekend.

Zonipang SA Vs Life Sports FC
Venue:Mokokchung (1 pm)

Seventh placed Zonipang SA comes into this week after losing out to Naga Tornadoes last week. The Sunshiners hasn’t won a game in their last four encounters and this weekend they would like to change when they entertain fourth placed Life Sports FC in Mokokchung.

The Red Warriors have been consistent in their performance and would rely heavily on their striker T. Haokip, who has been phenomenal in finding the goals and is the top scorer in the league with 20 goals.

New Market FC Vs Kohima Komets FC
Venue: Kohima (1pm)

New Market suffered another narrow defeat last week in the hands of Sangpang, and they lie at the bottom of the table with just a point.

They have been consistent in finding the goals in the recent times and would look to better Kohima Komets in this derby. Kohima Komets are on a bad run not having won any game in their last 5 matches, and have dropped down to 8th on the table. This will be a heavily contested Kohima derby as both teams will settle for nothing less than 3 points.

Doyang FC Vs Barak Flamingoz FC
Venue: Dimapur (1pm)

A resurgent Doyang FC takes on second place Barak Flamingoz FC in the first game in Dimapur this Saturday. Doyang FC have jumped to 5th place on the table with 17 points, and with two consecutive wins The Blue Assassins would be fighting to keep their winning momentum going.

Barak Flamingoz who hasn’t lost a game in the last 11 matches needs maximum points to keep forerunners FC Naga Tornadoes on their toes in the race for the league title.

Dynamic FC Vs Dimapur United FC
Venue: Dimapur (3pm)

Dynamic FC takes on local rivals Dimapur United this week after losing out to Life Sports FC last weekend. Dimapur United also lost last weekend against Barak Flamingoz by a lone goal in Mokokchung and this would rest heavily on the Dimapur lads as the gap has now widened to 4 points and maximum points in this week’s derby would only make amends to the points relinquished. 9th placed Dynamic FC will be keen to put up a better display and give their fans something to cheer for.
