Nagaland Police wishes Chekrovolu success

Nagaland Police has wished success to ABSI, Chekrovolu Swuro, who will be representing India in archery in London Olympics from July 27 at London.

IGP Hq, IPS, Lungriading in a press statement while wishing success said Chekrovolu is the second Naga to represent India in Olympics and that the department is confident that she would win medal in the Olympics.

This year, Chekrovolu in team event won silver medals in Asian Grand Prix in Bangkok and 1st World Cup Stage I in Shanghai, China; in 2011 won silver in 2nd World Cup Stage II in Turkey; silver in 3rd World Cup Stage III USA; again silver in 46th World Archery Championship in Torino, Italy; gold in 4th world cup stage IV in Shangai, China and bronze in Asian championship Iran.

In 2010, she won silver in individual in Commonwealth Games test events in Delhi and in 2009, Chekrovolu and her team secured 4th position in 16th Asian Archery Championship at Bali, Indonesia.
