Friends United defeated Musketeers ‘B’ to lift the 1st summer super8 tennisball tournament played at Imkong Meren sports complex, Mokokchung on Saturday.

Organized by Vincent Sporting Club and sponsored by Toshipokba Longkumer MLA 26 A/C, the tournament was played on the theme, “To uplift young cricketers in Mokokchung”.

The winners and runners-up walked away with Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 15,000 respectively.
Temsulemba of Friends was named man of the match. He received Rs. 500.

The two losing semifinalist Mokokchung Cricket Academy and Titans received Rs. 5000 each.
Man of the series, Nihal Rai of Mokokchung district academy got Rs. 1000.
32 teams participated in the tournament.
