Yuvraj Singh overcame cancer and now he has fought his way back into the Indian squad for next month's T20 World Cup. Harbhajan Singh has also been included in the T20 side announced Friday while veteran V.V.S. Laxman has retained his place in the Test team for the home series against New Zealand.

Yuvraj, who began training in June, was deemed fit to play in the T20 extravaganza in Sri Lanka beginning Sep 18.
The selection committee, headed by K. Srikkanth, picked 15-member teams for the two-Test series against the Black Caps starting Aug 23 as well as the tournament in Sri Lanka.

The T20 unit will play two games against New Zealand before departing for the biennial event.
