Onam celebrated in Kohima

Malayali Samajam Kohima (MSK), the apex body of the Keralites living in Kohima celebrated Onam festival with great enthusiasm at Highland Park, Near IG Stadium, Kohima, Nagaland on September 28.

The celebration started with the lighting of the lamp by the president of MSK, K.M. Geevarghese and other office bearers. 

Thiruvathira, the traditional dance of Kerala was presented by the Mahila Wing of the MSK. Single and group dances, skit and cultural shows presented by the kids of the MSK, music concert, tug of war, entertainment games etc were the highlights of the celebration.

Awards for the highest rank holder and the best student in Mathematics were given to the children of the members of MSK in the HSLC examination-2013 conducted by the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE).
