Two injured, four vehicles damaged in Dimapur blast

Two persons were injured in a blast that took place near the New Dhansiri bridge road on Wednesday evening around 6:30 p.m.
According to police sources two persons identified as Along Konyak (21yrs) and Ringdhar Girisa (27 yrs), both passersby, were injured in the blast. The injured were later rushed to Zion Hospital. Ringdhar Girisa was stated to be out of danger while the condition of Along remained critical. 
Police disclosed that the ‘handmade’ crude explosive device was made out of gelatine sticks and packed with sharpnels, designed for maximum damage. Altogether four vehicles, which were passing by the area, were damaged in the blast, police said. Police also recovered nails from the site and also from the vehicles. When contacted, hospital authorities confirmed that one of the critically injured person has been referred to Guwahati for further treatment.
