Chotisiih urges promoting of work culture

Nagaland Legislative assembly speaker Chotisiih Sazo urged the young upcoming generation to promote work culture in society while addressing the gathering as the special guest during the cultural day celebration organized by Zhavame union Kohima under the theme “our culture, our identity” held at NSF solidarity park Kohima on Saturday. 
Sazo in his address stressed the importance of preserving the cultural values such as respecting elders, hard work and dignity of labour. He encouraged the gathering to strengthen the unity of the Chakhesangs and Nagas as whole. He advised that one should not be ashamed of their culture and identity though the attires or language may be different.  
President Chakhesang Hoho Kohima, Theja Thereih in his address as a special invitee lauded the Zhavame Union Kohima for the initiative of organizing cultural day and demonstrating their unity and cooperation through such celebration. While stressing the need of preserving our tradition and culture, Thereih pointed out the need of proper census of the Chakhesangs living in Kohima for the good of the society. 
The chief host vice president NWA, Deo Movi in his address said that young generations were forgetting the culture and reminded that without culture people were lost. He encouraged other Chakhesang villages to organize such events to revive culture.
The programme was compeered by Rekha Dukru, invocation prayer said by VP St. Joseph college Rev. Fr. Rozu Anthony Dukhru, folk song presented by Baoluchii and Nganyii and veterans of Zhavame Kohima, vote of thanks proposed by  Mosonyi Domeh and benediction prayer was tendered by youth secretary NBCC, Vikuo Rhi. 
There were various cultural activities like climbing of bamboo poles, cultural dances, Suotii Ni, folk songs and others.
