World class spa training institute in Dmu

North East India Academy of Performing Arts (NIAPA) has merged with world renowned spa company JCKRC & Co to set up a spa training institute at NIAPA, 4th mile, Dimapur.
The name JCKRC is a combination of the initials of two eminent personalities, JC Kapur and Rekha Chaudhari. They have formed this company and are leading this joint venture to the top. JCKRC & Co is a name reckoned to be dealing in the most prestigious French and German esthetic products along with an Indian counterpart.
The company is involved in importing, distributing and marketing these brands for all over the country.
JCKRC & Co was officially coined in the year 2006 and has established names in the client list which includes stand-alones as well as chains of hotels, salons and beauty clinics. Interacting with media persons on Wednesday at NIAPA office Dimapur with Kelly Dorji as guest celebrity and faculty member NIAPA as a witness, Rekha Chaudhari said this was her maiden visit to Nagaland and was enjoying the warm hospitality of the people.
She disclosed that Indian spa Industry is still in infancy stage due to lack of structure, government certified syllabus, accreditation of standards in spite of so many young people deserving of spa jobs not knowing where to seek a formal spa education.
Chaudhari also said needy girls from orphanages would be trained free of cost and would be placed in spas to earn their daily bread and pledged that she would ensure the spa industry does not suffer for lack of trained professionals.
Disclosing the company was deeply involved in education and advance techniques having an association with 22 international brands, she encouraged the aspiring youth to take up the course, which guarantees 100% placement in 5 star hotels and spas.
Appreciating the hard-working nature of Nagas, she said this was one reason the company chose to merge with NIAPA to set up a training academy in the state and hoped Akounuo Khezhie, proprietress NIAPA, would grow in all areas by being associated with them so she could venture into spa business.
JC Kapur co-founder JCKRC & Co and an NRI living in Amsterdam, appreciating the hospitality of the Nagas, said many youth from the north east are working and undergoing spa training in other parts of India, but lamented there are not any good spa training institutes in the state.
He said the objective of the company was to open a training institute so youth would not have to go to other cities for training and hoped the academy would provide good education and good training where trainers would be brought from India and abroad.
Also interacting with the media, Kelly Dorji actor, model and faculty member NIAPA said he was pleased to be back in Nagaland for the second time.
He congratulated JCKRC & Co for merging with NIAPA and thanked the company for recognizing the potentials of north east region.
While speaking on spa industry’s business aspects in Nagaland, he said things have changed now and guaranteed that setting up a spa at Nagaland would be a rewarding business venture.
Akounuo Khezhie, proprietress NIAPA, said the academy was labeled North East India Academy of Performing Arts due to the fact that beauty is not only about make-up but expressing oneself.
She also revealed the academy desires to venture into various fields and reach out to the people in different way so as to make them aware of the potentials in taking up beauty as a profession.
On the recent visit to Arunachal Pradesh by NIAPA members, she said the chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh Jarbom Gamlin agreed to fully sponsor any of the selected students from Arunachal.
Classes for the second batch for the session 2011 at NIAPA would commence on August 2. The six courses offered by the academy are modeling for 4 months, styling for 4 months, hair expert for 6 months, make up expert for 6 months, beauty expert for 7 months and spa expert for 7 months. It may be mentioned that Akounuo, proprietress NIAPA is a young entrepreneur, former Miss Kohima, Miss Nagaland, Miss North-East India and Miss India contestant.
