KBYF choral contest

A two day Kohima Baptist Youth Fellowship (KBYF) choral contest under the theme ‘Sing to the Lord a new song’ was held at Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima Kitsubozou on Friday evening. Fifteen Baptist Churches participated in the competition out of which 8 Churches were selected for the final.
It may be mentioned that this choral contest is first of its kind of the KBYF activities. The first prize will be given drum set worth ` 50,000 & certificate, 2nd prize will be Keyboard worth ` 40,000 & certificate, 3rd prize will be Acoustic guitar worth ` 30,000 & certificate and best conductor would be getting ` 2000.

The Church was packed with both young and old people. Congregation gave a roar of applauses after every singing as all the participates sang so well. The 8 finalist churches were Police Union Baptist Church, Nepali Baptist Church, Sangtam Baptist church, Ao Baptist church, Chakhesang Baptist church minister’s hill, Lotha Baptist church, Union Baptist church and Chakhesang Baptist church Kohima.

Judges were Medongulie Tseikha, Kyochano Ngully and Ajeen Longchari. Programme was led by Akhrou Koza, opening prayer by Rev. Iringte Youth secy. NBCC and the programme was compeered by Rukulu.
The 8 finalist Churches  ‘Choir of Choirs’ would be held on Saturday at the CBCK at 4pm.Special presentation would be presented by Dimapur Baptist youth fellowship choir on Saturday.  KBYF officials has extended its invitation to everyone to the finale of ‘Choir of Choir’ and be blessed.
