GPRN/NSCN ‘1st batch passing out programme’ was held Saturday at Khehoi designated camp. MIP ‘kilonser’ Akato Chophi was the chief guest during the function. The ceremony was attended by a host of dignitaries including ‘kilonsers’, secretaries and high ranking officers both from ‘army and civil set-up’.

According to a GPRN/NSCN MIP statement, Akato Chophi urged upon the ‘Naga Army’ to maintain discipline, patience and devote oneself towards the genuine cause of the ‘Naga Nation’.

In his speech, the chief guest encouraged the ‘Naga Army’ personnel to foster unity in order to achieve the long cherished goal of the Nagas, said MIP.

The statement said that the ‘kilonser’ further compared the training undertaken by the cadres to those taken by “HAGANNAH or defence in Israel”, who were responsible for the successful defence of the young Israel state when it was attacked by Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon.

He said what Nagas needed now was a “well disciplined and a dedicated force”, said MIP.
According to the statement, highlights of the function included flag hosting by the chief guest, oath of allegiance by ‘brigadier’ Vihoto Chophi GSO-I, special prayer for Naga Army, drill display, parade by new ‘Naga army’ which was received by ‘col.’ Kiyehe Yepthomi  (commander CHQ).

Vote of thanks was delivered by ‘maj.’ Hukiye Chophi, ‘general field training officer’ and benediction prayer was pronounced by Hutoli secretary CNC, said MIP.
