Metha Youth Organisation (MYO), Chiechama has condemned the indiscriminate shooting and assassination bid on Abu Metha, press secretary to chief minister, Nagaland, on July 5 at his private residence in Kohima by “unidentified miscreants”.

Keneilhoulie Metha, president, MYO and general secretary Solevi Metha in a release stated such “dastardly act is intolerable and serves as a direct challenge to the society in general and the Metha Youth Organisation in particular”.

MYO said it would not “remain a mute spectator to the turn of events, but will go all out to bring the shameless culprits into justice as per the law of the land”, at the same time, urged the authorities in-charge to expedite the investigation process and do the needful, adding MYO would extend its “fullest cooperation”.

“We out rightly denounce any motive directed at taking the life of our member by any individual or organisation. We resolve to stand and protect our respectable member and will not hesitate to take any step felt expedient in achieving that”, stated MYO and appealed to all sections of the society to join hands in bringing the “shameless culprits to book at the earliest”.
