Zunheboto, Noklak DPDB meeting

The monthly meeting of Zunheboto district planning & development board was held on July 9 under the chairmanship of DC and vice chairman DPDB Zunheboto K.S. Anden Konyak.

Welcoming the members, the chairman informed the board the inability of the minister for roads and bridges to attend the meeting due to pre-occupation of other works.

Deliberating on deteriorating condition of arts and culture office, the board was also informed that a committee has already verified the matter.

However, due to the absence of committee convener in attending the meeting, the report would be presented in the next meeting. With regard to construction of agri link road at Ghokhuvi village under LADP 2012-13, the board agreed to forward the application to the chairman DPDB for taking necessary consideration.

The chairman also briefed the members about the tribal festival cum youth expo on which some members suggested that the views of GBs, senior citizen can also be sought and the discussion was deferred to the next meeting.

The chairman expressed dismay over the poor attendance of DPDB members in the meeting and also in DLCC meeting. He informed the members that stern action would be taken against those absentees.

While giving concluding remarks, the chairman sought full cooperation of all the members and called upon the members to contribute something for the betterment of the district.

NOKLAK: Noklak sub-divisional planning & development board meeting was held on June 30 under the chairmanship of EAC Noklak S. Thangpong.

The meeting began by introduction of the two new members namely SDEO M. Krose and SDO PWD Imsujungba to the board and then reviewed the last meeting minutes.

The board discussed the detailed list of the villagers/VDBs to be included in each of the 22 new RD Blocks. In this regard, block development officer of Noklak/Panso explained that RD block, Panso is being carved out of the existing RD Block, Noklak.

Satisfied that there is no issue involved in carving out new RD Block of Panso, the board decided to recommend and approve the list of villages/VDBs as submitted along with the requisite details such as the number of households, population as per existing Census figures.

SDEO Noklak highlighted the need for establishment of new government primary schools at Komking in Noklak town, Noklak village, Chengmei B, Sanglao village, Peshu village, Nokhu headquarter. The board discussed the matter and forwarded to the concerned department for necessary action.
