Expressing its resentment over July 23 cabinet decision to stick to its earlier decision, Nagaland contractors’ and suppliers’ union (NCSU) Tuesday also reiterated its demand that cabinet decision be revoked and payment released.

Pointing that all the bills have been certified by competent technical engineers, NSCU vice president K.L.Setuo Rutsa and secretary Imsünok Jamir said hence reevaluation of bills by SIT did not arise.

NCSU alleged that while most of the contractors were doing the work as per 2010 schedule of rate (SoR), there were few contractors doing the work as per 2030 SOR when the NPWD was yet to bring out 2012 SOR.

NCSU asked where was budget provision for those rate escalations and spending crores of rupees when the bills of more than 400 genuine registered members have been subsequently denied by the cabinet.
