‘Quality skill needed in economy’

SP Dimapur, Videlalie Zashumo on Tuesday said impressed upon Naga parents that government job has become saturated and that “unemployment has seeped in” among the educated Naga youth.

He said this while speaking as the chief guest at AIDA training centre, Don Bosco School campus ‘Skill Development for rural BPL youth in Nagaland’ Batch 4 inaugural programme on Tuesday,
Addressing the trainees, he also assured that lot of job opportunities were available in the private sector with the growing Indian economy, for which one needed to be skillful, and further said Don Bosco (DB) Tech was the right platform for offering many job training.

Dimapur AIDA centre started its 4th batch in SPA and Food and beverage service training courses with a total strength of 67 students. DB Tech training is a three-month program and concluded the first month of its training on Tuesday.

 DB Tech may be noted as the network of all Don Bosco Vocational training institutes of India having more than 125 centres across 25 states of India offering training through formal and non-formal trades or modules in more than 65 different skill training courses. Highlights of the program included cultural display and special numbers by the students.

Rev. Fr. Nestor Guria (Salesian Provincial, Dimapur Province) also exhorted the gathering. It maybe mentioned that DB Tech is being funded by the ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India.
