Queensberry Foundation (QF), 4th mile Branch, Dimapur has condemned the incident where on July 31 around 6:30 pm its branch manager Queensberry Foundation, Chanki Branch, Akum and Temjen were assaulted by unknown miscreants at New Camp under P.S-II Mokokchung.

In a press release, branch manager Queensberry Foundation, 4th mile Branch, Dimapur, Albert Jami stated that unknown miscreants numbering around five driving a Police vehicle (Maruti Gypsy) assaulted the duo who were returning from Mokokchung.

It stated that Akum escaped with minor injuries however Temjen was severely beaten and has to be admitted in the ICU at Nikos Hospital in critical condition.

Meanwhile, Queensberry Foundation, 4th Mile Branch while citing the incident as “cowardly act” and “murder attempt” has urged every organization and NGO’s to come forward and condemn the incident.

The branch has also urged the district administration and village leaders to book the culprits at the earliest and award befitting punishment to those involved in the incident.
