MLA and advisor new and renewable energy science and technology, Art & culture Deo Nukhu Saturday said in the present world one needs professionalism basing on one’s talent and capability.
He therefore advised students to discovery his/her own talent/gift or line of interest and go for professionalism to compete with others.
He said this while addressing the 25th anniversary of Mount Sinai Higher Secondary School, ministers’ hill Kohima as chief guest.
Deo however said to excel in any profession, one has to be patient, hardworking, have a good foundation, should fear God, and must be obedient to parents and teachers.
Acknowledging the love of God and His faithfulness, Nukhu said the school has reached a milestone since its humble beginning where in the first year 1987 only 94 students were enrolled in the school.
Deo Nukhu lauded the pioneers and founders of the school for their contribution and also those who worked tirelessly for the betterment of the school.
He also lauded the decision of the school board and the authority for enhancing the salary of the staff by 5%.
Souvenir of brief history of the school was released by Deo Nukhu, also the first chairman of the school managing board.
Earlier, Rev. Pusazo Chüzho church advisor dedicated the new school building and Deo Nukhu inaugurated the new school building.
Dr. Vevo Phesao pastor led the dedicatory service.
The anniversary programme was led by Zachive Thele chairman school managing board, Lanshung Anal principal delivered the welcome speech, scripture reading and prayer by Wepre Mero associate pastor, special songs by MSHSSK students and CBC (MH) K Youth choir, vote of thanks by Runi Nakro member school managing board and benediction prayer by Asune Demo associate pastor. Mount Sinai Higher Secondary School is run by Chakhesang Baptist Church Ministers’ Hill Kohima.
